Versions of HTML



HTML-HYPERTEXT MARKUP LANGUAGE

Well we all have been using HTML of diff versions somewhere in our everyday life weather its in low powered pones or super powered smart phones and tables and many more

Through all this HTML
has gone through many changes which we will discuss today

Well so far there are currently five versions of HTML
  1. HTML
  2. HTML2
  3. HTML3
  4. HTML4
  5. HTML5-most recent
Let's discuss about each of them in brief

HTML 1.0 (1989-1994)

This was the first ever version of HTML ever released.


  • supported inline images and text controls
  • Very limited styling was possible
  • So we can say that HTML 1.0 lacked due to its styling limitations. Every page made looked similar with same background and font.This version was only supported by Lynx and mosaic. 

    HTML 2.0(1995)

    This was considerably improved version


    • supported more browsers


    • supported forms with text boxes and option buttons


    • page background can be changed


    • tables were also supported
    • HTML 3.20(1997)



      • supperted creating tables and expanded options for formm elements
      • methamatical equations now were possible to be included in web pages
      • HTML 4.01(1999)



        • suppot for style sheet was added
        • scripting ability for multimedia elements was added
        • Now apperance and look of website can be changed just by changing the style sheet
        • HTML 5

          HTML5 is a core technology markup language of the Internet used for structuring and presenting content for the World Wide Web. As of October 2014 this is the final and complete fifth revision of the HTML standard of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The previous version, HTML 4, was standardised in 1997.


          • Completely changed the way webpages looked

            Understandings.....

            Elders have said that this world is based on two things:
            1.Trust
            2. Understanding

            But the major problem is that both of these two things are inter dependent

            Trust comes when you understand that person
            And you will only try to understand a person if and only if you have trust in him/her.
            In today's fast running world, no one have time to invest it to understand someone.
            Children don't understand their parents, parents don't understand thoughts and living mechanism of their modern society based children.
            True friendships are disappearing.
            Relationships are becoming biased. A perfect happy joint families are rare to find.
            Relationships are dominated under the weight of workload, personal space, selfishness, and other such things.
            It seems that with this modernising world and generation gap, relationships are coming to an end.
            Relationships are demanding time, love, trust and understanding.
            And it is our responsibility to maintain it so that we can pass it on to our upcoming generation

            World's first Laptop...

            Toshiba launched the Toshiba T1100 in 1985, and has subsequently described it as "the world's first mass-market laptop computer". It did not have a hard drive, and ran entirely from floppy disks. The CPU was a 4.77 MHz Intel 80C88, a variation of the popular Intel 8088, and the display was a monochrome, text-only 640x200 LCD. It was followed in 1987 by the T1000 and T1200. Although limited floppy-based DOS machines, with the operating system stored in ROM, the Toshiba models were small and light enough to be carried in a backpack, and could be run from lead-acid batteries. They also introduced the now-standard "resume" feature to DOS-based machines: the computer could be paused between sessions without having to be restarted each time.


            World's first android phone...

            The world’s first Android phone was the HTC Dream – it came to the market in October 2008 as the T-Mobile G1 in the USA and, when signing a two-year service agreement, sold for $179.Dream was the first commercially released device to use the Linux-based Android operating system, which was purchased and further developed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance to create an open competitor to other major smartphone platforms of the time, such as Symbian operating system, BlackBerry OS, and iOS.



            World's first Operating system...



            Well, there are many school of thoughts about who was the first to create the first operating system. 

            They ranged from: 

            1) DOS (actually QDOS 0.10 - Quick and Dirty Operating System) originally by Seattle Computer (later acquired by M$). 
            2) CP/M, for Control Processor Monitor (was considered the first operating system for a personal computer) by Gary Kildall of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California 
            3) IBM 

            Many argue it was CP/M was the first. The debates continues till today. 



            Worlds first Television set...
            John Logie Baird FRSE  14 August 1888 – 14 June 1946) was a Scottish engineer, innovator and inventor of the world's first mechanical television; the first publicly demonstrated colour television system; and the first purely electronic colour television picture tube. Baird's early technological successes and his role in the practical introduction of broadcast television for home entertainment have earned him a prominent place in television's history.


            World's first ATM...


            It might just be the best idea to come to a man in the bathtub since Archimedes' time. While taking a soak, inventor John Shepherd-Barron devised what is hailed as the world's first automatic teller machine, although his claim to the title is a matter of dispute . He pitched the device to the British bank Barclay. It accepted immediately, and the first model was built and installed in London in 1967. Though the machine used PIN (personal identification number) codes, a concept Shepherd-Barron also claims to have invented, it was dependent on checks impregnated with the (slightly) radioactive isotope carbon 14 to initiate a withdrawal, as the magnetic coding for ATM cards had not yet been developed. One other difference from its ubiquitous modern counterpart: it didn't charge a fee.


            World's first camera with film(paper films)...

            The use of photographic film was pioneered by George Eastman, who started manufacturing paper film in 1885 before switching to celluloid in 1889. His first camera, which he called the "Kodak," was first offered for sale in 1888. It was a very simple box camera with a fixed-focus lens and single shutter speed, which along with its relatively low price appealed to the average consumer. The Kodak came pre-loaded with enough film for 100 exposures and needed to be sent back to the factory for processing and reloading when the roll was finished. By the end of the 19th century Eastman had expanded his lineup to several models including both box and folding cameras.

            How to change pen-drive icon without using any third party tool

            Change pen drive icon

            Old default pen-drive icon of windows is boring.Even if you apply some theme, the changes will take place only in your PC but what if you want that in other PCs also when you connect your pen-drive, it should some special icon like your own photo, that sounds interesting and is very easy to do without using any third party application
            How to do:

            Step 1 :- Open notepad
            Step 2 :-Keep an image ready which you want to use as your pen-drive icon. Remember that the image should in ICON(.ico) format. Other formats like jpg, png, jpeg ,bmp etc would not work. You can download icon images even you can convert any of your images to ICON format using soft-wares like  Format Factory.
            Step 3 :-  copy that image icon to your pen-drive and rename it to "autorun".
            Step 4 :- copy the following text to notepad:

            [autorun]
            icon  = autorun.ico
            label = makcs.blogspot.com




            Note: In place of label you can write any name you want to print on your pen-drive and even you can change the name of image icon to whatever you want.

            Step 5 :- save this notepad file to your pen-drive and and name it "autorun.inf" (not "autorun.txt") only.

            Step 6 :- Eject your pen-drive and and reinsert it again. Windows might show some problems, let window scan the pen-drive and fix the problem and there you go.



            Congratulation...you have successfully changed your pen-drive icon.

            On all windows PC same icon and label will be shown.

            Note:If you format the pen-drive or delete the image icon or autorun file your settings will be gone.

            How to change text color and text background in Turbo C/C++ without using graphics

            Everyone wants to create a good looking and attractive..
            Using graphics for small programs is very clumsy, time consuming and a bit hard task to do..
            So is there any other way???
            Yes!!! there is !!!
            And today i will teach you how to change text color and text background in Turbo C/C++
            without using any graphics...
            Before that if you don't have Turbo C/C++, then download one from here for win xp/7/8/8.1

            Header file required is conio.hWe are going to use two functions
            1. textcolor() : for changing color of text
            2. textbackground() : for changing the background
            supported colors are
            BLACK, WHITE, RED, BLUE, BROWN, YELLOW, PINK, CYAN etc
            it is necessary to write them in capital....
            use them as follows:
            textcolor(RED) :To change text color to red
            textcolor(RED+BLINK) : to add blink efffect
            similarly
            textbackground(WHITE) : to change background to white

            How to Change Windows 7 Start menu icon/orb

            Are you bored of old and default start button of windows 7?

            Then today I will show you how to change that!!!!


            You need to download  Windows 7 start orb changer

            It will look like this

            • Windows 7 Start Orb Changer is a freeware from door2windows that allows you to change your start orb/button with just one click in Windows 7.

            • Works with both x86/32-bit and x64

            • Once you have downloaded this then what next you need is some Orbs

            Once you have downloaded, extract the zip/rar file.

            How to use:

            1. Close all your apps.

            2. Run the tool as administrator.

              1. Windows 7 Start Orb Changer

              2. Click Change. Windows 7 Start Orb Changer

              3. Select the start orb and click Open. Windows 7 Start Orb Changer

              4. Windows Explorer will now restart automatically and you will see the new start orb/button which you chose. Click OK. Windows 7 Start Orb Changer

              To restore the original start orb click Restore. You can expand the advanced settings by clicking the arrow at the bottom right corner of the window.
